Monthly roundup: August favorites

I cannot believe that it’s already August. This year will be a whole new adventure for us as our son (T) starts Kindergarten in 2 weeks! While I’m certainly looking forward to not paying for preschool anymore, I am not looking forward to a much earlier and more structured schedule and packing lunches. T is like a teenager and likes to SLEEP. He’ll have to be at school around 7:30 and he’s not even usually up by then. It’s going to be a transition for all of us. Our preschool also provided all snacks and meals so I now have to add packing a lunch to my to do list!

As you’re transitioning into the school year, I’ve pulled together some of my favorite items for August. Scroll down to see what made this list this month:

Countertime Collection
  1. Countertime collection: A cleaner, safer alternative that competes with retinol. Yes, please! Each product in this line has Retinatural complex which is a combination of bakuchiol and Swiss alpine rose. Personally, I’ve noticed smoother, softer, brighter, more hydrated skin and a decrease in my brow furrow! A must have. If you’re not ready to dive into the full collection, there is also a regimen available.

Dew Skin

2. Dew Skin tinted moisturizer: Dew Skin has SPF 20 to help give you some everyday coverage from the ☀️ and a very light coverage. I wear it daily under my makeup but if you’re a one or two product person, put dew skin on your list. Hands down one of my favorites.

3. Luminous Powder Highlighter, halo: I also use halo almost everyday – the butter powder highlighter is silky smooth and helps wake up your skin. Perfect little pick me up. Spotlight on your cheekbones to get a healthy, subtle glow.

4. Sheer lipstick, pearl: So many color choices! For August, I’m highlighting the pearl ‘color’. Pearl is a fantastic universal shade that goes on clear with a hint of shimmer. It’s very moisturizing and has a hint of (real) vanilla.

5. Brow gel: brows frame your face and the brow gel helps groom brows with plant-based waxes and butters. The brow gel is very natural looking and helps create the look of a fuller brow.

6. Hydrating body lotion, citrus mimosa: Have I ever mentioned I hate putting on body lotion? It’s always greasy, or runny, or doesn’t rub in, smells bad or has too much fragrance. Not this one. It goes on so smooth and soaks in quickly. I actually feel like I can put clothes on right away after using it! Lightly scented but not over powering – no synthetic fragrance added.

🌟 Bonus: it’s also the August Band of Beauty welcome gift so you can scoop it up for free!
